Wave Well Live in San Francisco
wave WELL, I performed for the first time at "El Rio" in San Francisco. I pulled it off with only a few days notice. I got the opportunity through my friends Jason and Cynthia (La Fin Absolute Du Monde) who asked me to do a show with them. I couldn't pass it up. So I scrounged together a set and formed a routine and got it down enough to make it happen. Many of my friends showed up and I was blessed to perform and present my music the way it should be. According to everyone it sounded great.

Wave Well // Metacog
Wow what a relief, the gorilla is of my back. My first LP "Metacog" Successfully released on my target date of 11.11.11 I would like to say @ 11:11:11 o'clock as well but it didn't happen. This project was a long time coming and I am really happy with the way it turned out. Publishing an album independently on top of a demanding full time job is no easy task. Dave Middleton was my audio engineer who mixed and mastered the album and he did a fantastic job correcting all of my muddy and overloaded frequencies. I can talk about it all day but it's best to just listen.

Point Arena
My boss blesses me with a surprise three day stay at Point Arena California on the coast of Mendocino County and so I did my best to capture this beautiful place.

Rapt Morass ( Music Video )
Do we see the inward as a vast frontier like we do the cosmos and beyond? What if we can go smaller than we can go bigger? What if the Atom or the Quark can seem like a sun compared to what may be. We always wonder "what is out there" but I ask "what is in there"
I highly value multimedia presentation so naturally I'm not settling to create music alone. I birthed this piece out of pure inspiration and I wanted this idea to be expressed visually as well so that the listener can also be a watcher and as a result my idea can be better absorbed. I aim to provide a catalyst to thought. There is emotion in this work but it is subtle. To begin thinking about thinking requires and emotional initiation. I say this because I believe all thought proceeds either an emotion or a situation. The emotion that flows from wonderment or epiphany or pondering the unknown is one I wish provide.
"I sensed it (saw and heard it) and enjoyed it. Moreover, I would say that I Appreciated it. The segment from 4:20 to 4:32 did for me what few songs manage to do. I would describe that specific experience as "affective elevation." Some people say that they are "moved," which really means the same thing; but some people are too easy to move, I think."

Flying Lotus
I finally got my butt out of the cave and decided to do something social for once. I recently discovered the artist Flying Lotus and my friends invited me to see him live. I really loved what he was doing musically, in fact; I kinda wish my sound was like that. His style being close to my heart motivated me to see how he performs live.
This is a video shot in Amsterdam but it gives you an idea of what I experienced. Unfortunately the masses crave a "boom boom" dance environment so the system was over bassed. I love bass and this was over the top. I imagine if I were on drugs the sensation of pounding would be a catalyst for a good trip. It was not what I expected but it was good to see some Downtempo pack a club like that. I had lots of fun operating in an ultra extraverted environment. We all need to let loose.

Jam Session
After spending several days absorbing culture in San Francisco I brought my friends back to my place to have a little jam session. It was a great experience while we created some awesome sounds.
Jamie Reilley was helping me on synth. Bryce Bishari was on guitar. I facilitated the sequencing and some ridiculous vocal inserts.
Enjoy.
